THOMAS HOLST

Tomas Holst is the founder and manager of the Norwegian media promotion agency, Sound Promotion. His background as a touring musician and DJ, and published songwriter, coupled with his master´s degree in public relations and work experience from inside a scope of media outlets, puts him in a unique position to give advice and promote other musicians. His reputation as a DIY artist and DJ being able to make a living from his music, made fellow musicians ask him for his advice and to be their manager and booking agent. This demand sparked the idea of an agency that would help other unsigned artists and bands obtaining the press that they needed to be successful themselves. This year, Sound Promotion can look back on 12 years of helping Scandinavian artists and bands getting signed and getting the acknowledgement that they deserve.
