CORNIC

Cornic is a French/Norwegian 25-year-old artist and producer who is current with his music video for "Mammasønn", published on YLTV and with "Bounce", which was his third song recommended by P3 on Urørt. Cornic draws his inspiration from a wide range of musical genres and he loves to play with styles such as House, Hip hop, Afro pop and Rnb. His own multicultural background is expressed in the songs, where he alternates between texts in Norwegian, French and English, and samples from legendary continental artists such as Edith Piaf. In recent years, he has played at some of Oslo's most popular venues such as Ingensteds, Brød & Sirkus, Krøsset, Uhørt, Cafe sør and Postkontoret, often accompanied by saxophonist Herman Mjåseth. Those who have seen him perform will often say that he has a unique playful presence and infectious energy. "Cornic is truly a showman who has the ability to engage the audience to such an extent that they lust after his slightest gesture." That's what Tommy Klemp wrote in Disharmony after his performance at Musikkfesten 2022. You can expect the crowd to jump, shout and have friendly moshpits. At his last concert at Brød & Sirkus, the concert ended with about 30 people from the audience dancing on stage and you could see DJ Han-Polo's shock as he held on to his Mac for dear life!
