SAKSA

The young and ambitious rapper Sophia Senje Ekholt, also known as "SAKSA," burst onto the rap scene like a breath of fresh air with her track "Skuespill" earlier this summer. She commands the stage with her words and brings a personal approach to rap that is detached from trends and subcultural environments, making her truly unique in today's Norwegian music scene. Her debut song received warm recommendations from "urørt" and was played on the radio throughout the summer. Just one month later, she released her second single, "Lifecoach," which had a pre-premiere on P1 and was described in the daily newspaper as a "Danceable and intellectually intricate story that serves as a counterbalance to all the mundane pop songs." SAKSA has set herself the goal of being fearless in the face of a still male-dominated rap genre, and so far, she has achieved exactly that.
